Starting off as Infinity Dance Company, Studio A has been a family business for over a decade. We pride ourselves on offering a safe environment with a space for everyone.
We are proud to have a well trained and well rounded staff who are all here to help shape the minds of young dancers. We cannot be more excited to offer the best dance training possible and to also have a staff that truly cares about the health and well-being of every dancer who walks through our doors.
Our owner and director has been dancing since the age of two. She spent her formative years in a small town studio and moved onto a larger more competitive school as she sought out a broader and more diverse education. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Business with a focus in Corporate Communications from Baruch College in New York City. She continued her dance education by taking classes at Broadway Dance Center and Steps On Broadway. She found her love for teaching right out of High School and her passion and drive for owning and operating her own studio followed closely behind.
Anna specializes in technique training and jazz and lyrical choreography. She loves to spot new potential and help students foster their technique, creativity, and love for dance.
Amanda Turner was born in Nottingham England, and trained at Elmhurst Ballet School (Affiliated with Birmingham Royal Ballet, UK) where her teachers were Mercia Hetherington and Merle Park, principle dancer and artistic director of The Royal Ballet.
A soloist ballerina with Israel National Ballet, and in Europe with Munich Ballet Theatre, Vienna Ballet Theatre, Vienna Festival Ballet, she performed at Queen Elizabeth Hall with Wayne Sleep (The Royal Ballet). She has danced on some of Europe’s biggest stages in Geneva, Frankfurt and Vienna. Her repertoire includes Swan Lake, Nutcracker, Giselle, Les Sylphides, Sleeping Beauty, Serenade, Paquita, Romeo and Juliet, and a wide variety of modern and contemporary works.
Recipient of the Sylphide Cup in London, for outstanding performance, presented by Dame Ninette de Valois, and granted the professional title A.R.A.D. (highest honors) by The Royal Academy of Dance in London -Amanda transitioned into Jazz and Musical Theater and was solo dancer in Andrew Lloyd Weber's The Phantom of The Opera (Choreographer Gillian Lynne) performing in the premiere cast in Vienna, and on the Original cast recording. Other Musical Theatre credits include: Evita, West Side Story, Hello Dolly, Oliver, Beauty and the Beast, Little Me, and Damn Yankees.
Amanda served as dance captain or assistant choreographer on most shows that she performed in and was fortunate enough to be coached by the late Gwen Verdon. and has studied, taught and danced the Fosse repertoire. She was assistant to Ann Reinking with her Masterclass series and continues a mentorship and friendship.
Ms. Turner is Artistic Director of her own multi media dance company, The Turner Project, who made their Broadway debut at the Mazer Theatre, NYC, performed their full length program Out of Water at The Duke Theatre on 42nd Street and all the dancers were cast at BDC where she is a is a long time teacher.
Amanda is a board certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist , and a member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA). She brings all of these principles of balance of the mind, body, and spirit to her teaching and choreography.
Ms. Danielle has been teaching dance for thirty years and specializes in the formative preschool dancer. Ms. Danielle studied dance at the High School of Performing Arts in Syosset, NY and continued her dance education at Towson University in MD. She began teaching in college and never stopped.
She taught locally in the Sayville area and opened the studio in Bayport ten years ago. She is so proud & happy her daughter Anna took over the studio & opened the 2nd location in Bohemia last season.
Ms. Danielle has run the musical theater/dance program at Creations Preschool in Sayville for the last twenty years, was a teacher’s assistant the last 2 years & is thrilled to be the official teacher for the three year olds starting in the fall.
Ms. Nikki has been with us since our days as Infinity Dance Company. With a degree in Musical Theater and Dance, she excels at teaching foundational technique along with stage presence and personality. She has developed our younger teams into beautiful dancers that she still works with today!
Ms. Jackie was once one of our dancers, she now trains our tiniest of dancers. Ms. Jackie excelled as both a student and a dancer and brings those skills with her into the classroom. Training under Anna, Ms. Jackie has taken on her own classes of her favorite styles!
Ms. Amanda began dancing at the age of 3. She started dancing competively at only 6 years old. Her early training began at South Shore Dance Studio. She then attended Michelle Ferraro’s Dance USA where she trained in all genre’s with many different choreographers. At the age of 14, Amanda assisted in teaching classes and began teaching her own classes just after graduating high school. Upon graduating, Amanda went on to continue her passion for dance by joining the St. Joseph’s College Dance Team. During her college years, she was named team captain both her junior and senior year. As team captain, Amanda was responsible for choreographing routines and running team practices.
Becoming a teacher has always been her passion. Outside of the dance studio, Amanda is an elementary school teacher who recently received a master’s degree in Education. She loves working with children and finds much joy in sharing her passion for dance. The genre’s she currently teaches are lyrical, jazz, and hip hop. She is very dedicated and passionate about all styles of dance and is looking forward to sharing her love with each and every student.
